Answer

This coach was built as an oil lit six wheeled five compartment third in 1886 and numbered 1195. It was later reduced to four wheeled. Steam heating was fitted from July 1900 and it was used as a workmen's coach from January 1931 until withdrawal in October 1938. It is of a rare design with tall quarter lights and is in occasional use a holiday chalet. (RD:21895)
