At Adinkerke in East Flanders (Just beyond De Panne station) there are NMBS/SNCB carriage sidings, and France is only a few kilometres ahead. Google maps and street view show an out of use railway almost intact all the way from here to Dunkirk. There are what look like the remains of freight transfer facilities near De Panne station which would have been the last station in Belgium.
Street view shows the former stations in France largely intact and warning lights and barriers in the raised position at many level crossings. There are apparently now calls to re-open the line but when did it close and what is this line’s history? (Frank Bartlett:20532)
