Our winter maintenance has now been completed, the boiler was inspected this week as part of a live steam test and recertification has been done by the boiler inspector for insurance purposes. We will be working tomorrow's Surrey Hills subject to passing FTR today, this shouldn't be a problem. Altho...

Clan Line is currently undergoing it's annual maintenance period & examination. The boiler has been washed out and inspected in a cold condition, a steam test has subsequently been carried out prior to a further steam test and detailed examination by an inspector. Since returning from last Saturday's "Wessex Lunch" some preventive maintenance has been taking place at Stewarts Lane. The smoke deflectors have been removed in order for access to be gained to the glands where the steam pipes pass through the smoke box to be made airtight as they have been filling...

Yesterday's "Wessex Lunch" was once again another successful outing for Clan Line. Another successful trip on Saturday's "Surrey Hills", left Victoria 1' late, arrived backed RT, a few signal and regulation delays en-route, loco performed without fault.
