Hi David,
That is really great news. Is there any timescale for when it will be available? And will it be done professionally, or by Society members? Or is it just a sales proposal?

Hopefully all contributors will be aware that since the digital edition was launched in January 2013 we have a constantly growing, immediately available archive of all RO's published since that date. The scanning of earlier issues has not been abandoned but as with most facilities provided by the Society it is dependent on the availability of suitably qualified volunteers with access to appropriate kit.

Dare I suggest that anyone willing to take on such a role show their hand during the RO Q&A session at next weeks AGM.

Digital versions of the RO were produced and made available to the RCTS Yahoo groups (Library and Officers') from September 2008, until they were made available on the website (from c2013) - this was an initiative started by Terry Silcock, and AIUI they came out of the RO production cycle at some stage. (I have a set if no one else has). This was in addition to the CDs of old ROs that he produced.

Gents,
I am prepared to offer what I have scanned to the Society, provided that it is made available for sale to all members at reasonable cost. Further, I am prepared to arrange to get discs duplicated by the same company that Terry used for the original magazines he offered for sale. I have experience of doing something similar for the GERS.
As well as those that Terry had scanned, I have scanned the issues for 1953-1957, 1959-1967, 1969-1972, 1976-1978 inclusive. I am presently working on 1979. I will be going back to 1973-1975 later. I think I am right in saying that Terry provided 1932-1952, 1958, 1968.
These magazines have been scanned two pages at a time from unbound magazines. The resolution is 400dpi and the pages have been cropped to trim any unwhite areas. I scanned the covers in colour and the remainder in greyscale.
What I am unable to do, easily, is to produce the artwork for the discs and cases.
Unfortunately, I will not be at the AGM but I am happy for Mike Robinson to bring up my offer on my behalf. Further, I am happy to discuss how this might be progressed on most evenings.
