Annual Business Meeting and Members Entertain
The Branch Annual Business Meeting took place on 21st April. Reports were received from the committee on Branch activities and financial transactions during the previous 12 months, a much improved situation compared to the previous period with all meetings held ‘live’. The committee of Stephen Wilson (Chairman), John Howland (Secretary), Richard Neale (Publicity) and Richard Morris (Treasurer) were re-elected to serve for the next 12 months. With the business part of the evening dispatched in good time, we settled in for some members images. Chris Baldwin took us on a tour of France in the 1960s around areas where steam was still very much in use on regional and local services. Sholto Thomas established that travel restrictions had relaxed earlier this year so shot off on a spontaneous holiday to Switzerland. Stephen Wilson found some less well known station buildings and signal boxes in this country and Richard Morris showed some out and about images from the past 12 months.
