BG 31274 Preserved at Steamport Railway Centre, Southport, Merseyside, then to Bodmin Steam Railway, body broken up as a result of fire damage sustained at Steamport. Chassis used for GCR 1663 at Nottingham Heritage Centre, Ruddington, Nottinghamshire.
BG 31345 Some mystery surrounds this vehicle. The BR(S)Control Records show it as sold to Resco Railways, Woolwich and despatched on 19/3/82. Whether it actually went to Woolwich or elsewhere is unclear as is its subsequent history. Does anyone know exactly what became of this vehicle?
BG 31370 Transferred to Departmental Stock as Test Train Coach ADB975944 based at Doncaster Works. Later used as Stores Van at Doncaster Depot. Disposed of to Marple & Gillott, Attercliffe, Sheffield c8/84. Body preserved at Great Central Railway were broken up 2/14.
BG 31384 Transferred to Departmental stock as XDB977032. Preserved at Middleton Railway, broken up 1995.
BG 31385 Transferred to Departmental stock as ADB977024. In volved in identity swap becoming 31402. Preserved at East Lancashire Railway. Disposed of for scrap c2007 to C. F. Booth, Rotherham.

BGZ 32988 Preserved at Strathspey Railway, then to Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, body broken up, chassis used for L&YR 1507.
BGZ 32991 Understood to have been acquired from BR by Resco, Woolwich and located at Nene Valley Railway 1977-1978. Body scrapped and chassis used for GER 197 located at Kent & East Sussex Railway. Can anyone confirm whether it went direct from Nene Valley to Kent & East Sussex Railway or whether it first went to Woolwich or elsewhere? GER197 was acquired for preservation from Wisbech in c1979 were it had been used as a holiday home. Initial restoration is reported to have taken place at Plumstead before moving to the Kent & East Sussex Railway in 1984. Were body and chassis united at Plumstead or at the Kent & East Sussex Railway?
BGZ 32998 Transferred to Departmental stock as DB975249. Preserved at Midland Railway Centre, body broken up, chassis used for MR 1260.
BGZ 33002 Preserved by Great Western Society at Didcot Railway Centre. Body grounded and used as a shop before being broken up, chassis used for GWR 824.
BGZ 33007 Preserved at Steamport, Southport, then to Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, body broken up, chassis intended to be used for L&YR 279.
CCTz 35098 Originally numbered 6589, transferred to Departmental stock as ADM395838. Preserved at Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust, Washford, Somerset, body broken up, chassis used for SDJR 4.
CCTz 35334 Originally numbered 5012. Used by British Steel at Appleby-Frodingham Steel Works numbered SW 2. Preserved at Rutland Railway Museum, then to Swindon & Cricklade Railway, then to Midsomer Norton Station, Somerset, body broken up, chassis used for MR 255.
CCTz 35414 Transferred to Internal User stock as 022199. Preserved at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, body broken up, chassis used for LNWR (5)192.
MCV(CCT) 37008 Acquired in the late 1970’s by Solent Rigging Services Redbridge, Southampton (along with BR 34042 & 34742). (All three) Moved with the company to Shamrock Quay, Southampton in the very early 1980’s (where joined by BR 34644). Reported as sold to ‘Kent haulier’ in 1987 who removed it from Shamrock Quay. What then became of it is a mystery?
MCV(CCT) 37221 Body preserved at Steam & Sail, Brightlingsea, Essex. Became Wickham Rail Engineering then Morgan Marine. Removed from site c2011.
MCV(CCT) 37222 Preserved at Ilderton Station House and Cafe, Ilderton, Northumberland, then to B&W Engineering, Elvington, North Yorkshire were body removed for non-railway use (subsequently scrapped – see below), chassis used for Observation Saloon ‘SYLVIA’ at Derwent Valley Light Railway.
MCV(CCT) 37224 Preserved at Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, body broken up, chassis used for NER 100 at Tanfield Railway.
MCV(CCT) 37325 Body preserved at Swindon & Cricklade Railway but may have been elsewhere first. Moved to Swindon Demolition Company, South Marston Industrial Estate, Swindon, Wiltshire (SU 181888). Probably broken up when the site was cleared.
TST 37508 Originally numbered 46. Preserved at Foxfield Railway, moved to Rye Farm, Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield, where broken up c2009.
GUV 37908 Acquired from BR by Resco, Woolwich and arrived at Nene Valley Railway 3/78. Body removed and located at Wansford where broken up post 1983. Chassis moved to Resco, Woolwich? where body of LNWR 159 was mounted on it.
FISH 40212 Transferred to Departmental stock as ADM40212, then to Internal User stock as 024510. Preserved at Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust, Washford, Somerset, body broken up, chassis used for SDJR 98.
FISH 40284 Preserved at Nene Valley Railway, then to Lea Hall Farm, Ash Parva, Shropshire, body broken up, chassis remains.
FISH 40326 Transferred to Departmental stock as ADM40326, then to Internal User stock as 024512. Preserved at Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust, Washford, Somerset, body broken up, chassis used for SDJR 114.
MILK TANK44065Transferred to Internal User Stock as 060997. Preserved at Gwili Railway c1993 and stored at Cynwl Elfed without tank. Moved to Swindon & Cricklade Railway c2015. Moved to Peak Rail, Rowsley in November 2019 and scrapped on site in December 2019.
SALOON 45036 Preserved at Chinnor & Princes’ Risborough Railway, body broken up following fire damage, chassis remains.
