Class 06 observations in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s - top page
First allocated to Ayr in May 1960. Transferred to Thornton in April 1968. Transferred to Dunfermline Townhill in July 1970 from where it was withdrawn in October 1980. Following withdrawal it moved to Polmadie where it remained until being scrapped on site in August 1983. Details of which company actually scrapped the locomotive would be very much welcomed. It is though known that the cab was removed from Polmadie by road and was later observed in the Airdrie yard of G. H. Campbell.
