Class 90 hauled/propelled East Coast Main Line passenger trains 1991 - 2003

Although Class 91 locomotives were normally used on all ECML electric hauled/propelled timetabled trains prior to the introduction of 'Azumas' in 2019, Class 90's did see occasional use between November 1991 and June 2003. A summary of that era can be found here or by clicking the above link.

However, 13th October 2016 heralded a revival when 90036 worked the 14:08 Kings Cross - Newark Northgate.

Subsequently 90018, 90019, 90020, 90028, 90029, 90034, 90037 and 90039 saw use. This era coming to an end on 14th June 2019 with 90019 working the 16:15 Leeds - Kings Cross.
