The Railways of Paris

The presentation will cover the 185 year history of The Railways of Paris. From the first passenger carrying line to St Germain en Laye, followed by lines radiating from the French capital, the six major termini, development of the suburban network and a potted history of the Metro.

Michael Bunn is a member of RCTS (of the now defunct South East branch), a lifelong railway enthusiast and Francophile. He joined the French Railways Society in 1995 (when it was The SNCF Society) and became its Secretary in 2013. He has given French railway presentations to 16 branches of RCTS.
