West Riding Steam in Colour 1953-68

Presenter: Derek Huntriss

One of the legendary "Master Neverers", who produced outstanding photographs of British Railways Steam in its last decade, Derek Huntriss is an excellent photographer with many years’ experience, and he is now Secretary of the Society's West Midlands Branch.

This presentation features pictures by several well-known photographers - mainly Master Neverers - including Gerry Dixon, Jim Jervis, Derek Penney and David Mitchell, plus many others, as well as Derek himself, it covers the West Riding of Yorkshire: a county of marked contrasts, stretching from the wilds of Ais Gill in the north to industrial Sheffield in the south, and from the plains around Goole in the east to the mountain moorlands around Saddleworth in the west.
