Indoor meetings

The persisting COVID-19 pandemic and measures to suppress it mean that for the foreseeable future we shall be unable to hold our normal programme of meetings at the Scout Headquarters in Sheffield. We are hoping that we shall be able to meet there again during 2021, but meantime we have commenced a programme of virtual meetings accessible by internet using the Zoom platform available through the RCTS.

These meetings will be held on the evenings of the 2nd Tuesday of each month – please note the change from our customary meeting pattern – commencing at 7.30pm. Those who would like to take part must register in advance for each meeting. Details of how to do this will be sent directly to all Branch members. Others who would like to attend as our guests should contact Jim Bryant at sheffieldfixtures@rcts.org.uk for registration details.

The content of our meetings will generally maintain the customary focus of Sheffield Branch events, though with the geographical restriction on contributing speakers raised we may be travelling further afield in some of our talks.

To begin our virtual programme we shall be welcoming a number of speakers whose talks we were unable to hear during the Spring, but we have also invited others whose contributions will have a particularly local appeal.
