DESCRIPTION:The Hitchin & Welwyn Garden City Branch AGM followed by a presentation by John Tigg. \nFrom a very young age\, living in North West London between the West Coast Mainline and Metropolitan / Great Central route\, John has had an interest in railways.  Despite spending his last years before retirement travelling the country for a major plant supplier to the rail industry he was unable to visit many of the heritage railways close to his work. Since retiring in 2019\, living on the Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire border\, with the West Coast Mainline on his doorstep\, he is centrally located to visit many of the railways on his ‘bucket list’. \nJohn describes his presentation as: .“A mix of standard and narrow gauge from national and heritage locations – local-to-home WCML and East West Rail to Wales and the Midlands.
