20 December Christmas Buffet and Members Evening
There were three digital presentations prior to the buffet, and three slide presentations afterwards, finishing at about 10pm.
The digital presentations were:
Dale Robertson - Heritage Railway Quiz. A 'Where is it?' tour of British heritage railways large and small, with a few European locations to finish. Andrew Davison - 16 years of Digital Photography. A mix of mostly preservation, with some modern traction and Branch visits to two miniature railways, taken since 2008. Stewart Jolly - More from Slovakia. A selection of photographs to complement the feature in the December RO.
The slide presentations were:
Brian Arman - Temple Meads through the Years. 20 historic photographs and engravings illustrating the development of Temple Meads station from the original Brunel station.
David McCollum - Preserved British Steam in the 21st Century Pre-Covid (presented by Stewart Jolly in David's absence due to illness). A wide-ranging selection covering local locations but also photographs in the north of England, Scotland, and Ireland, with a little family history included. Brian Arman - Slides by the late Doug Tritton taken in the Bristol area. Views taken in the steam era, including signalling and track layouts, providing a marked contrast with the contemporary scene.
Jacky and Reg Wood provided an excellent buffet which was enjoyed by 29 members and guests.
