Our well-attended January meeting featured Keith Sanders with the presentation “Photographic Review of 2018 and 2019”.

The attendees witnessed a collection of images in chronological order.

2018 featured Class 385s on test at East Fortune, refurbished Scotrail 7 Cities HST Power Cars at Seton, GWR IETs on test runs to Edinburgh, Azuma in Virgin livery, diverted Tesco with 2 x 68s at Longiddry, GB tour with LNER Black B1 at Burntisland, then Markinch, Galatea on GB tour approaching Gleneagles, sea wall at Culross before Longannet Power Station demolished. Next, Polmadie Mk3 Sleepers at Drem en route for store at Bishop Auckland, then Network Rail tree felling at Aberlady Junction, Bulk Alumina North Blyth-Fort William, Oxwellmains-Thurrock Cement at Inveresk & DRS powered Doncaster-Millerhill Infrastructure at Prestonpans.

2019 introduced G & W Freightliner livery, 5 car TransPennine NOVA 1 on test, Cross Country HST, and Tornado on Aberdeen excursion. Diversions included LNER HST heading south at Abington Loop & LNER Azuma crossing Crawford Viaduct. Ultimate HST runs included the final Inverness southbound passing Longniddry & LNER farewell Blue & Yellow at Dunkeld & Birnam.

The Q & A session allowed Keith to outline his equipment and techniques to the attendees. A most enjoyable afternoon.
