In Edinburgh: “Dark Doings at Low Level” by Jim Summers

Another welcome return by our friend Jim Summers who will be telling us about the construction and operation of the lines through Glasgow Central Low Level – one of which, between Rutherglen and Partick, now forms the core of the present-day Argyle Line.

The low level platforms seen in May 1981, just under two years after re-opening..

The adjacent, but abandoned, second island platform nowadays features in the popular Glasgow Central undercroft tour, run by Network Rail.

Note that this is a Saturday afternoon meeting.
