Lee Davies started working on the railway after spending 12 months on a Youth Training Scheme (YTS) and just two months in a “proper job”. Four decades later, he’s still there. After all, in the words of Ellesmere Port driver F. A. Jones, “Why work when you can drive trains for a living?”
On Wednesday 9 September, join us as Lee kicks off the South Wales Branch’s 2026/27 season with a selection of photographs and stories from his 40 years on the railway.
