A Decade of Change 2011 Onwards
This evening Peter Robins kept us up dated with a “A Decade of Change from 2011 Onwards” Peter’s superb photographs were enjoyed unfortunately by our smallest attendance for quite some-time. We visited many locations throughout the British Isles, including ones we rarely see such as Booth’s scrapyard in Rotherham, the re-construction of Reading station, along with the many changes that have taken place in this last decade. During the presentation I believe we came across majority of the locomotive classes and modern traction currently on the system, along with many steam and diesel specials on the main line and in preservation. During the time this show covered we saw traction in no less that twenty various liveries at some splendid locations, these highlighted the countryside, facets of station buildings, stations and bridges viaducts and the seascapes. It must have taken Peter many hours of research to find the right location featuring the locomotive, the train, he needed to photograph, the one doubt he must have had was possibly the typical British weather, but despite any problems he had, we had a great evening’s entertainment and saw some marvellous photographs.
