An A to Z of Great Central locomotives

On 26th March Bob Gellatly presented his talk ‘An A to Z of Great Central locomotives’
The presentation began by looking at the designs of Charles Sacré, Thomas Parker, and Harry Pollitt for the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway (MS&L) and then moved into the GCR era and looked at John Robinson's designs. The story didn’t stop there as both Gresley and Thompson carried out programmes of rebuilding for Robinson's locomotives. The story ended in April 1966 with the withdrawal of the last Robinson locomotives from BR service - four class O4/ locos.
A fascinating and well researched presentation and a mine of information for GCR fans
