Branch AGM

The Branch AGM took place on 6th December where the Chairman gave his very positive review of the Branch’s progress during 2022 and the varied and interesting programme of meetings. Financially the room rate exceeds the door takings but the sale of railway books at meetings and at exhibitions more than makes up for this meaning that the Branch has a healthy bank balance

The secretary reviewed the meetings so far in the 2022-23 session and then described the forthcoming 2023 meetings and stated that we have gained 20 new members since January 2022

The existing committee members were re-elected “en-bloc” but we still have no Treasurer, Rodney Allen will continue as treasurer until a new treasurer is found.

After the formal business was concluded Jed Thomas presented some photographs taken in and around certain Nottinghamshire coal mines.

The Secretary then showed a short presentation about the ATP Pilot Schemes and Richard Wilson showed some steam era photos

Finally the Chairman showed his photographic collection of the Stanier Duchesses
