Electric working was introduced on the London-Norwich line in May 1987 and for operational simplicity at Norwich, electric locomotives were kept in the formation of through trains to Yarmouth. These services ran until the end of the Summer 2015 season, with the last working on September 5th 2015. Direct Rail Services handled this traffic latterly and on 8th September 2012, 47828 brings 90005 through Brundall station on the 12.30 (SO) Liverpool Street to Yarmouth.
