A Touch of Eastern Promise

CC50 2-6-6-0 Mallet No.CC5003 departs from Leles with a local from Cibatu to Bandung in July 1977. The sharp curve hides the fact that this is a single coach working. The photographer is balancing on a mud bank that separates the sections of a paddy field.

At this meeting Derek Huntriss will present images describing a somewhat adventurous  journey made through Java, Sumatra and Malaya with fellow photographer, John Hunt, in July/August 1977.
