With a closing speed of around 50mph, the drivers of RHDR Nos 6 'Samson' and 2 'Northern Chief' greet each other as the two trains pass, though exact location not known. No. 6 was working the 09:30 from New Romney to Hythe, whilst No. 2 was working the 09:50 from Hythe to Dungeness at 10:05½ on Monday 24th July 2023. Photo taken from the Bar/Observation Car 'Gladys'. Please bring along some 35mm slides or image files on a memory stick or DVD disc and we’ll endeavour to treat everyone to your photographic efforts – any railway related subjects welcome! Branch members will be given priority, visitors are welcome to bring material as well. Festive refreshments will be available at the half-time break.

Doors open from 18:30 for 19:00 commencement of proceedings.
