John Baxter is the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust’s Secretary. He gives a ‘warts and all’ story of the trials and tribulations of starting a steam railway from scratch and how attempts to derail the project were dealt with to produce a small part of the former Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway for all to enjoy.
