Steam Variety in Northern China

Peter Robins returns, with a presentation showing the splendour of steam in China, the fruit of several visits that he made. Starting with an April 1988 visit which covered from Nancha in the North East to Lanzhou in the West, the show includes loco construction at Datong and Tangshan as well as the older JF/RM/SL classes at work. Later visits made between 1992 & 2004 mainly in winter show various industrial locations on both standard and narrow gauge including Anshan, Chengde and Hunjiang as well as the QJ class 2-10-2’s on mainline action at Zhongwei, Yebaishou and in the stunning scenery of the JingPeng Pass.
