Locomotive and Coach Liveries Part 2

Our November Meeting featured Branch Member Stuart Malcolm with the presentation ‘Locomotive and Coach Liveries Part 2’, providing a very varied selection of images, mostly around Edinburgh.

Beginning at Linlithgow, LSL’s recreated ScotRail PushPull set & 47712 featured, then ScotRail’s ‘Whoosh’ and ‘Barbie’ liveries, followed by a set in plain white, a livery transition. Interlopers included cl.158 with First, TransPennine & Northern colours, Central Rail 156, Stagecoach, Alphaline, Borders Railway 170 414, BTP 170 & 170 470 & 471 in SPT Carmine & Cream. North Berwick trains comprising Class 322 in North Western livery & later Class 90, 4 coaches and a DVT. Next, variety in the Fife Circle loco hauled sets, Class 365 at Waverley, Cl.385 at Kingsknowe, early ScotRail HSTs in FGW livery and HST coaches in mixed liveries.

East Coast stock included the E/C Farewell HST, GNER & National Express liveries, 91 SKYFALL, Durham Cathedral, Craigentinny 100 HST, Virgin standard HST livery, 43238 NRM 40th Anniversary, MML HST, EMT power car on Virgin/LNER set.  Specials included Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Lest we Forget, Virgin Flying Scotsman, LNER Flying Scotsman, and Virgin Santa Claus. A Class 185 at Slateford & early Azuma sets featured.

An excellent evening’s entertainment by an enthusiast.
