Our December meeting as usual featured Lizzie's sausage rolls, mince pies and members' presentations. Geoff Brockett showed scenes from heritage lines large and small, light railways, museums and even the Royal Gunpowder Mills. Our newest and youngest member Harry Nethercoat showed us his latest photographs from 2023, mainly at the very busy Berkhamsted station and at various heritage railway galas. Committee member Rob Freeman showed a variety from mainly abroad with some lovely old photographs of trains now long gone, and renewed member Bernie Holland kicked off the evening with some of his old favourites. Our treasurer Richard Dyett rounded things off with photos taken during the nine-day ‘Emerald Isle Explorer’ tour of Ireland with splendid photos of 4-4-0s in action on the main lines.

The evening was attended by only eighteen members and visitors, but everyone enjoyed the shows and the food.
