NR’s New Measurement Train and the IM fleet
On 22nd November Brendan Rice presented a very interesting and thoroughly absorbing talk about Network Rail’s New Measurement Train and the other vehicles in the Infrastructure Monitoring fleet at the RTC. Brendan included the history of infrastructure monitoring from way back in LMS days right up to date and also future developments planned.
His talk included various videos of how the processes are undertaken today and graphs of the major improvements resulting from such close scrutiny of the railway.
A technically very interesting presentation and highly recommended
