Photographic Review of 2020 and 2021
Keith Sanders with the presentation “Photographic Review of 2020 and 2021”, headlined our first public meeting since March 2020.
Covid constrained Keith’s photography, 720 images being recorded in 2019, 221 in 2020 and 268 in 2021.
2020 featured a Class 56 on Doncaster-Millerhill infrastructure at Longniddry, LNER AZUMA on test approaching Prestonpans, TPE NOVA 1 at East Fortune, North Blyth-Fort William Alumina at Spittal, near Longniddry, two 68s with Torness flasks at Drem, Northern Belle at Marcle, 91119 in Swallow livery & final official ’91’ to Edinburgh. Diversions produced a Pendolino, the power cars in Avanti livery, the coaches white, in Abington loop. Next, an RHTT at Kirknewton & Royal Scotsman 66746 on Doncaster-Elderslie. 2021 included cl.68 Mossend-Daventry Tesco diverted via East Coast, 2 x LSL Green Cl.37s on “The Orcadian”, 802301 on Drem to Bounds Green, at Marcle before ‘LUMO’ launch, “Tornado” on “The Aberdonian” at North Queensferry, “Royal Scotsman” approaching Prestonpans with 66743/66746 and Mossend PD Stirling to Doncaster iPort. Late season excursions saw “Midland Pullman” en route to Inverness, 2 preserved Green Cl.40s with a special at Elvanfoot & Scots Guardsman and train near Oxwellmains in atrocious weather.
