Visit to Shipley Glen Tramway

The annual July branch visit to an outdoor location of interest for this year took members and friends to the Shipley Glen Tramway where an excellent turnout was treated to innumerable endless rides up and down the hillside in the two passenger carrying carriages that form the passenger carrying facilities.  Twixt and between the visiting members were shown around the museum at the foot of the incline whilst a liberal supply of refreshments were on tap at the summit thereby generating a most convivial atmosphere.

No doubt this was helped by the evening colour lighting that illuminated the full length of the tracks.

Due to the enthusiasm of the volunteers who operate the tramway the evening proved to be an outstanding success and greatly enjoyed by all who turned out.
