![20181023-WELWYN-GARDEN-CITY-9112682215-14-33-Kings-Cross-Leeds-Alan-Jones-EW The 31 members of the class 91 fleet were built between 1988 and 1991 by British Rail Engineering Limited (BREL) at Crewe, as sub-contractors to the General Electric Company (GEC). 91026 was delivered new to Willesden on 9th November 1990 and subsequently to Bounds Green on 15th November 1990, finally entering service in March 1991. As with all the Class 91s, it was renumbered in the 911XX series on refurbishment in the early 2000s. It was withdrawn in 2021, being taken from Doncaster to Sims Metals in Newport on 10th May (see St Neots pictures).
