By Diesel Hydraulics around the Western Region

Joe Turner spent most of his career working for British Rail Western Region.  In this slide show Joe presents WR diesel hydraulics in their various liveries from the late 1950’s through to the later years of the 1970’s, and on into preservation.  As well as the well known Westerns, Warships, and Hymeks, Joe also shows us the early 600s, 63xx and 95xx locos at work in various parts of the Western Region between Paddington, South Wales and the West County.  Views taken on the Waterloo – Exeter, and lines to Birmingham are also included.
