The History of the Paris Metro

A look at the 122-year history of Europe’s second busiest and one of the world’s densest metro systems, with over 300 stations. The expansion of the network, station architecture, development of rolling stock, including the introduction of rubber tyred trains to five lines, the fully automated lines and Metro vehicles in preservation are all featured. A closer look at some of the line’s peculiarities is also included.
