A regular at our meetings George has spoken to us several times previously, but tonight he will be recalling his memories as a railwayman, both at Hitchin & Potton. He will be talking about the many tales he had in his time at both these local stations. As always, you can count on George for many amusing moments.

A look at Potton stations, their history, and a few tales of Potton’s railways. Bring your crash helmet as I take you from Potton to Hitchin from 1958 – to take a look at how Hitchin used to be, plus a few more tales. The railways used to run on Christmas day, so maybe a mince pie might come out of a signal box oven.
