18th May 2026: Railways Here There and Everywhere, by David Scudamore

The lighter nights allowed our only evening meeting this year, when Member David presented a very varied collection of his photographs, ranging from early days with a Brownie127 in 1962 to more recent trips. He has travelled to over 50 countries since those early days in search of steam (he is not very keen on diesel!), criss-crossing the world from South America to Eastern Europe, in Cold war days, even North Korea, interspersed by photos in the UK.

It was a very entertaining evening not knowing which country’s rail system was going to come up next.

This was the last meeting before our summer break, and we resume on Tuesday September 22nd at Roade Village Hall with our customary joint meeting with the Milton Keynes Branch
