Meetings
The Society has around thirty local branch centres where you can meet like minded
enthusiasts and enjoy talks and digital presentations, improve your railway
knowledge, and take part in branch organised visits to railway installations. Society publications are available for sale at most branch meetings, many have other
second hand books available for purchase at very attractive prices.
Archive and Library
The Railway Correspondence and Travel Society’s Library was founded in 1935. Now located in the Stationmaster’s House at Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 7SQ, it has grown to a collection of more than 10,000 books and magazines including bound volumes and includes much other archival material. |
Photo Archive
Since its founding in 1928 the Society has amassed an archive of many thousands of photographic images covering a wide range of rail subjects and operations around the world. These are available to buy online as prints or downloads. |
RCTS Publications
The RCTS regularly publishes books, mainly of a historic nature and has an enviable reputation for the quality and accuracy of its publications. When new books are published members have an opportunity to purchase at a discounted price. |
