Back in 1990, Jeremy Harrison undertook a visit to Pakistan, to see and photograph its railways. While the main emphasis of his trip was the then surviving steam - on broad, metre and narrow gauges - he also took the opportunity to photograph all aspects of the contemporary railway scene.

Jeremy Harrison shows us images of Czechoslovak Railways (ČSD) from his visits to the country with the LCGB in 1989, for their celebration of 150 Years of Railways in the country, and 1992, for a substantially steam hauled tour which took us across the country.

A look back at what I was able to photograph in the early years of this century, both on preserved railways and the mainline. (This is a replacement for David Cable's presentation, previously planned for this meeting, which has had to be postponed until 14th April 2026).
