Shop for Hardcopy Books

The Society has been producing books for many years and is recognised for their high quality and accuracy. We are currently publishing around six titles per year.

Shop for Digital Books

Due to their popularity, many RCTS books have long been out of print. However the Society has undertaken a major scanning programme to make many of those titles available as digital downloads in pdf format.

Remastered Hardcopy Books

Some of the most popular but out of print RCTS books have been re-mastered and are again available as ‘print to order’ titles via Amazon. Please note that you will be taken to the Amazon website if you wish to purchase these books.

Second Hand Books

The Society has an extensive library and receives many donations to increase its coverage of railway subjects. Inevitably this can lead to duplication of titles and thus the Society offers surplus good quality second hand books for sale.

Digital Photographs

We currently have over 50,000 images in our photo archive that are available to purchase as either prints or downloads. These cover the whole of our 100 year history with both black & white and colour pictures available. Images can also be purchased for publication use.

Events

The society runs a programme of network and heritage railway visits where booking and payment are required. These events are only open to members and you will need to be signed in to make a booking.
