Visit to South Wales (or not!)

Nine Members were due to attend this fixture but our train, 1V33 06.27 Man Pic – Cardiff Central, failed at Church Stretton because of a problem with the DVT 82229 (which was leading the train with 67020 at the rear). The train blocked the line for over 2 hours causing severe delays to all following services.

After consultations by text we decided to abort the fixture as we would not have arrived in Cardiff until early afternoon.

Three Members did manage to reach Cardiff and met briefly before travelling independently to various Valley locations.

The fixture will be rearranged.
