![20220526-KETTON-66168-6L43-08 Ketton's Down Starting Signal has achieved celebrity status as the last remaining Midland Railway semaphore signal on the UK rail network. Positioned approximately 400 yards to the West of Ketton signal box, where the line curves sharply to the left, the signal is on the right hand side of the line for sighting purposes. On May 26th 2022, DB Class 66 No. 66168 heads past the signal and towards East Anglia with 6L43, the 08.47 Mountsorrel to Kennett. ![20220522-KETTON-170102-09 Although due for replacement in the planned 2017 resignalling of the Leicester-Peterborough line, the Ketton Down starter continues in service to this day. In need of a little care and attention, it nonetheless makes a fine sight as Cross Country Trains Class 170 No. 170102 passes with the 09.21 Stansted Airport to Birmingham New Street on 26th May 2022.
