‘Cromptons’ regularly saw use on passenger trains through the Cherwell Valley between May 1982 and May 1984 on the Fridays 1E22 12:46 Portsmouth Harbour-Leeds / Sundays 1O92 15:11 Leeds-Portsmouth Harbour, a listing of locomotives used for the Cherwell leg of those trains can be found here.
