Despite there no longer being a regular passenger turn for ‘Cromptons’ after May 1984 the locomotives continued to appear on various timetabled and relief trains in subsequent years. This included a second appearance on TC stock when on 22nd May 1984 33115 + 4 TC’s 401+409 again replaced hauled stock. Does anyone know whether it was the Crompton or the TC that led through the Cherwell Valley?
